Sagito — Terms of Use

Last updated 19 September 2026

The short version

Sagito is 11+ practice for children, wrapped in a game. It is free, and it can be played all the way through without paying for anything. Some extra campsite decorations can be bought if you want them; they change how the camp looks and nothing else. We are not connected to any exam board, school or tutor, and nobody can promise your child a place at a grammar school. Coins and cards in the game are part of the game — they are not money and cannot be turned into money.

1. Who we are, and what this covers

Sagito is published by QNL LTD of Orpington, Kent, company number 09869549 ("we", "us"). Contact: info@sagito.app.

These terms cover your use of the Sagito app on any device. Our privacy policy covers what the app knows and where it is kept; the short answer is that it stays on your device.

2. Agreeing to these terms

By installing or using Sagito you agree to these terms. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to read and agree to them for you. Where a child uses the app, the adult who set it up agrees to these terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for their use of it.

If you do not agree, please delete the app.

3. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Sagito on devices you own or control, for your household's own non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app or extract its question bank or artwork, except where the law says you may regardless.

Your app store's own terms apply alongside these, and where they conflict on matters of the store — payment, refunds, redownloading — the store's terms win.

4. There is no account

Sagito has no sign-up, no login and no password. Everything lives on your device. This has a consequence worth stating plainly: if you lose the device or delete the app, the progress goes with it, and we cannot restore it. We never had a copy. If that matters to you, keep your device backup switched on.

5. What Sagito is — and what it is not

Sagito is practice material and a game built around it. It is designed to help a child aged roughly 9 to 11 practise the kinds of question that appear in UK 11+ selection tests, and to make doing so enjoyable enough to keep going.

It is not:

We work hard to keep the questions accurate and the answers correct. If you find a mistake, please tell us at info@sagito.app — genuinely, it helps.

6. Buying things

The app is free to use, and practice never stops. There is no daily limit, no energy meter and no countdown. When every free question has been seen, Sagito keeps going and serves the ones met least often first. A child is never stopped mid-session and asked to buy something.

Two things can be bought, and both live in the grown-up area behind the PIN.

Keeping the questions right. We review and update the question bank as and when it is needed: to correct anything found to be inaccurate, and to keep pace with changes to the 11+ curriculum and the way it is examined, so that a student is practising against current material rather than something out of date. Updates reach every version of the app, free and paid alike — accuracy is not something we would put behind a payment.

This is a commitment to keeping the questions right, not to a timetable. There is no set period between updates, none is promised, and a stretch without one does not mean anything is wrong. Equally, it is not a guarantee about any particular examination: 11+ papers vary by school and by region, they change without notice, and we are not affiliated with any exam board or school.

Corrected 7 September 2026. This section previously said "Nothing is held back behind a payment, and no question is ever paid-for". That was untrue: most of the question bank has needed a subscription since the free tier was drawn on 3 September. The sentence was written before the tier existed and was not revisited when it did. It is corrected in the open rather than quietly, because a terms document telling a parent that no question costs money is the kind of error that matters most to the people least able to check it.

Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your right to digital content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

7. Coins, points, cards and items are not money

Coins, eXplorer Points, Explorer cards and campsite items exist inside the game. They have no monetary value, are not a currency, are not your property, and cannot be exchanged for money, transferred out of the app or sold to anyone. We may change how they are earned, priced or awarded as we balance the game — though we will not take away an item that has been bought with real money.

Cards can be given to and swapped with friends inside the app. That is a feature of the game, not a market, and any attempt to buy or sell them for real money outside the app is not something we recognise or will help with.

8. Friends, gifts and swaps

Children can connect to friends by QR code or link, and then send each other cards and gifts. Both ends of this sit behind the parent PIN, so an adult approves every connection on both devices.

There is a second route, added on 15 September 2026, which makes no connection at all: a card given to a friend in the same room. The giving phone shows a QR code and the friend's phone scans it off the screen. The two households never become connected, and no adult approves the other family — so unlike everything above, a child can accept a card from someone no grown-up has met.

What limits it is the code rather than an approval: it lasts two minutes and is only accepted from a camera, so it cannot usefully be forwarded or photographed, and it carries the giving child's display name and which card and nothing else. Nothing is stored about the other child and there is no way for either to reach the other afterwards.

A grown-up can switch this route off, under Swap cards in person in the grown-up area, behind the PIN. It is on until they do.

There is no chat: no messages, no comments and no free text passes between users. The only thing one child's device shows another is the display name they chose and the card involved.

Two things we ask of the adult:

9. Fair use

Please do not: use the app for anything unlawful; try to break, probe or work around the parent PIN or the purchase flow; extract or republish the questions, passages or artwork; automate the app; or use it to harass anyone. If you do, we may stop supporting your use of it, though since there is no account there is little for us to switch off.

10. Content and copyright

The app, its artwork, its animal cards, its design and its question bank are ours or our licensors', and are protected by copyright.

Reading passages are taken from works that are in the public domain in the United Kingdom, sourced from Project Gutenberg transcriptions. Each one records its author, publication year and the basis on which it is out of copyright, and each was checked against its source. If you believe something has been included in error, tell us at info@sagito.app and we will look at it promptly.

11. Changes, availability and updates

We may update the app, add or remove features, and change these terms. If we change them in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.

We do not promise the app will always be available or free of faults, and we may stop publishing it. Because everything lives on your device, an app you have already installed keeps working whether or not we carry on publishing it — until an operating system update eventually breaks it, which we cannot prevent.

12. If something goes wrong

We are responsible to you for loss we cause by breaking these terms or by failing to use reasonable care and skill, where that loss is a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, for loss of progress caused by a device being lost, reset or unbacked-up, or for any educational or admissions outcome — see section 5.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

If you use Sagito for any business purpose, we have no liability to you for loss of profit, business, or business opportunity.

13. Ending this

You can end these terms at any time by deleting the app. We may end them if you break them seriously. Sections 7, 10 and 12 carry on afterwards.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
